1. What We Collect

When you upload a document (contracts, leases, quotes, policies) to Lanesra, we process the text to provide our analysis service.

• Processing, Not Storing: The text is processed in-memory. Once the plain-English analysis is generated, the original document file is permanently and automatically deleted from our servers.
• Analysis Results: The resulting analysis is tied strictly to your active browser session. If you close your browser without an account, the analysis is destroyed.
• Account Data: If you create an account to save your history, we collect basic information like your email address via third-party providers (Google OAuth, Supabase). We do not store passwords.

2. Security & AI Training

We employ enterprise-grade security to ensure your private contracts remain private.

• No AI Training: We categorically guarantee that none of the documents you upload will ever be used to train, fine-tune, or improve our AI models or any third-party AI models.
• AES-256 Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest (during processing) using AES-256 encryption.
• Zero Human Access: No Lanesra employee, founder, or contractor has the ability to view, read, or access the contents of the documents you upload.

3. Data Retention

For guest users (without an account), your uploaded documents and the resulting analysis are deleted immediately upon closing the browser session.

For registered users, the generated analysis (but never the original file) is retained in your account history until you delete it or delete your account. Upon account deletion, all associated data is purged within 30 days.

4. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

Legal documents frequently contain PII such as Social Security Numbers, addresses, and financial details. Our processing pipeline is designed to ignore standard forms of PII. We do not extract or store your personal identifiers. However, we strongly recommend manually redacting highly sensitive information before uploading.

5. Cookies

We use minimal, strictly necessary cookies for authentication (if you log in) and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that track your browsing behavior across other sites.

6. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Lanesra is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We act as a Data Processor for the documents you upload.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request the deletion of your account and all associated analysis history (Right to be Forgotten).
• Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate information about your account.
• Export: Export your account history.
